Open my heart, I want to love

Eating is very 'simple'; you just grab a plate of rice, toss in some vegetables, and throw in a couple of other 'ingredients'.

What we are not aware, is that those 'ingredients' are your flesh, your bone, your meat, your muscle, your blood... And what you are eating, is yourself.

Those animals don't 'belong' to us, and so we therefore cannot kill them as and when we please, even if they 'irritate' us.

In actualy fact, they don't really 'irritate' us. They have simply came into this world and brought us so much joy, peace and happiness. On the other hand, we cause most of them to fear us. Why? Because we separate them from their parents, coop them up in a small cage with nothing but an occasional small piece of cold, hard bread to eat (if it's even edible), and they die unwillingly with tears in their eyes at their last gasp for breath. And then that's where we eat the poison of their flesh. (with nearly 70% of the antibiotics in the US being fed to livestock, it's not a doubt that by eating the rotting corpse of these animals would bring about funny diseases like bird flu etc... and we can't really wash the antibiotics off because it's in the meat, but for veggies, if they use some fertiliser, we can soak them in salt water and they'll be fine (: )

And once we consume it, our breath stinks of blood, bone, flesh, muscle and meat. (remember the foul smell you can sense when you put a dead prawn near your mouth? it feels so heavy, as if pulling you down.) And the animals can sense it, and some are even vegetarian themselves! When someone who eats meat goes near them, they know and are thus terrified. They run away, because they know that the person has consumed the flesh and blood of their cousin, and that they might be the next victim.

Please, please! Just hear them for once, can you not hear them screaming?

Just because we humans happen to be a 'biggy', doesn't mean we have any right to burn them alive. If we happen to irritate another giant, do they have the right to just tear you away from your friends and family, and cook you up, and some even cook you alive even.

Will you like it?

Can we, for once, look at their love. Animals are not food, they are friends. We don't eat our friends. They are so full of love, nothing but pure love. And they beautify the planet with their presence. (can you imagine what our world would be like without the animals? if the world perishes, then even if we want to eat meat, there won't be any meat left. so why not just give up the meat, leave it alone, and gain the whole planet, and let life flourish as it should be )

It is the humans who know not a lot, not the animals.

"If you have pets, try to 'listen'; they will lead you into their world guarded secretly since the beginning of creation! I wish we could all understand others like birds and treat them as we would ourselves... They are so sensitive in their emotional relationships, and in the atmosphere they are surrounded with. Their companion and friends mean a lot to them, someitmes as life itsel, their loyalty is so incredible! All who have birds should consider their feeling and have respect for their dignity and love." ~ Supreme Master Ching Hai

We can look at the dogs. They soon develop loyalty towards you, the owner, and when you are in trouble, they are the first one to bark. At the risk of their life even! They are the first to pounce at the 'baddy' with their safety at risk. How noble is that? When we humans, see the situation dangerous, we hesitate to help, but the animals don't. Out of their pure love, even if the situation is very risky, they still go to help, be it for a cat friend, dog friend, animal friend or human friend. (heard of dog rescuing humans? many stories are like that, where they warn their human friends of a disease coming, like diabetes, or when they rescue them from a fire). But then we humans just eat them up in return, and our result is cancer, diseases...

Malnutrition is the last thing (or the thing not even on the list) you should worry about. Malnutrition for meat eating, it should be.

"After a while, if you really love an animal you will make contactl and then through the contact, you can contact other animals as well." ~ Supreme Master Ching Hai

You should watch the ant sometime, with your heart. You can see them as living beings!

So please, Be Veg, Go Green, Save the Planet.

Thank you so much
