You all know that chinese words have some kind of history and reason as to why they were written like that: 和 (peace ; 和平的＂和＂), is made of a 禾 and a 口. 禾 (hé) means grain, so the word 和 means that when you put the 禾 (grain or plant based food) into your 口 (mouth) (in order words eat plant-based), you will get 和 (peace!) =)

peace with the family, peace with the animals, peace with the planet, and eventually your life :)
